There are lots of sacrifices you have to make if you want to be happy. But there are a few things you need to check out of the list in order pursue this goal. Before going into the goal of the day, it is important we understand that happiness is one of the most important factors of life.

Happiness is a major criterion for finding your purpose in life. True happiness has no attachment to physical objects. The happiness that comes from a special place is a matter of the heart.

Being happy requires maximum self-control and certainty. Although being a happy person takes hard work and time dedication to self-growth, it is the best thing that will happen to you on earth.

Now that we are excited about this journey to a place of peace and calm; let’s get to the steps we need to take.

  1. Complaining

Are you that person who constantly complains about life? You need to understand that complaining drives a lot of negativity. Constantly complaining can become addictive because some of us do it so much to an extend in which it fulfills a sense of comfort in us. As a result of being comfortable with complains, we find ourselves making excuses to carryout this act.

Some of us can’t go through one hour without complaining about a single aspect of our lives. We have to learn to not accept negativity as a part of us. Learn to stop complaining because happiness is allergic to complains and negative energy.

  1. Limiting Beliefs

Going through life without believing in our self is like adding salt to injury. The world around you does a better job showing you they don’t believe in your abilities, so believe me you don’t need one more person doing the same.

If you want to be free to live your life you must believe in your abilities to provide yourself with happiness. Depending on the world around you for happiness is the worst decision you will ever make.

The world is so conditional and disloyal when it comes to your feelings, so why not take up the job of making your person smile everyday. Remember we all have only 24 hours in a day, don’t spend your better part depending on others for happiness.

Find the activities and people that add to your joy in life. For us to accept happiness we should first put ourselves in a good place, so that we can appreciate the love and joy brought to us by others.

  1. Negative Self-talk

Negative self-talk affects your daily life activities more than you can imagine. Have you ever wondered why you are unable to have a productive day? Well, this is because you have talked the interest of productivity out of your life.

Stop telling yourself you can’t do the things you have always wished to accomplish in life. Talking yourself out of doing something productive in life doesn’t get you closer to your accomplishments. Talking yourself out of accomplishment pushes you further away from getting the life you desire.

If being in shape or picking up great work attributes will bring happiness to your person, why do you spend time telling yourself you can’t do it?

“People who never tried are losers by nature, and the one’s who try live to tell the story of the future”.

You will never gain happiness by telling yourself you don’t deserve it.

  1. Blaming Others

Yep, we are tired of putting ourselves down. We have done it so many times, it is becoming boring. Now let’s find someone else to blame for our failures and unhappy lifestyle.

It’s okay we have all woken up on that unfortunate morning feeling bad about everything going on around us. You know who the real problem is so,save yourself the trouble of blaming others for your problems.

Take responsibility for your problems and understand that you don’t deserve an unhappy life. Once you fully understand this concept, you will strive for more happiness like you wish to breath when drowning.

  1. Dwelling on the past

Please let it go. Yes, they hurt you. Yes, you messed up. It’s in the past now so let it go. The reason you woke up to see the beautiful light of a new day is so you can make things better. You encountered these hurtful experiences in the past, so that you can learn lessons that are vital to your growth.

The only thing you should take from the past is the lesson you learned. Don’t drain your energy in an event which happened in the past. Leaving in the past prevents you from moving forward and growing in a new light.

No one can feel the way you feel inside about your past but are you willing to take this over happiness? Make your happiness an important aspect of life so that you can grow physically and mentally.

  1. Resistance to Change

Happiness comes with adventure. You have to constantly stretch above your comfort zone to find the things that add freedom and happiness to your life. The world is always changing so if your happiness depends on physical things you may end up an unhappy person in years to come.

Your state of mind should be free and open when it comes to happiness. You should be excited to explore and find the things in life that add value to you.

  1. The need to Impress

If you want to be happy in life, living to impress is not the right path to go. Just think about the number of people you meet everyday, be it friends or strangers. All these people have impressions of your character and life choices. In most cases, their thoughts of you are different based on their unique understanding of life.

Now if you are that person who likes to impress, take the time to ask yourself who are you impressing? It is humanly impossible to impress billions of people in the world in one instance so stop trying. The only person you should be certain about being able to impress is yourself.

We should only impress ourselves because we are responsible for the consequences of our actions. Whatever you chose to do and become in life is your burden. No one in this life will carry your burden as much as you would no matter how close they are.

So stop listening to the rants around you and start impressing the only person you will stand by for the rest of your life. To be happy, you must learn to impress non other but you.

  1. The Need to Always be Right

We need to accept the fact that life gives us the opportunity to learn and make mistakes. Throughout life, you will be wrong about a lot of things but keep in mind that the strength in the situation is your ability to keep moving forward with certainty in life.

If we were always right, a lot of things about life would be unnatural.

  1. The Need to live life to others approval

A happy person is a free minded person with great knowledge of themselves and the things they represent. Our time on earth is too short to live on approval of others. You were born on to this earth as a single entity therefore, you have the ability to determine your life path.

Every choice you make affects you greatly, whether negative or positive. Make your choices in life wisely so that you can live a happy life on earth. Remember better late than never. You have the chance to start seeing life differently and pulling happiness into your soul. It’s never too late to begin the journey to happiness.
